The Bulldog Spirit is our school newspaper which is researched, written, and published by our high school journalism students. Two editions of the newspaper exist; one for elementary age students and the other for high school students.
Being a part of the newspaper staff helps students gain an awareness of the power of written communication by publishing work and receiving valuable feedback from readers. Students develop the skills of maturely handling interviews, weighing and making decisions about ethics and values, and acquire writing skills that will prove assets in careers. Journalism students also take over meaningful leadership roles as student editors, designers, and managers. They receive grounding in practical and professional applications of modern technology and have an outlet for expressing their creativity. The Bulldog Spirit makes a positive contribution to our St. Joseph School community and is an integral part of our school.
