Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution of higher education and be qualified to teach in his/her major or minor field of study
Accepted into an Alternative Licensure Program through DESE
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with others in grade level, school, or diocesan teams.

Registered nurse by Arkansas Board of Nursing, preferred
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certified
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Instructor certification preferred
Minimum two (2) years experience as a registered nurse
Possesses the ability to work with children; experience with children is preferred.

Job Goal: The Registered Nurse will oversee the successful implementation of the school health care program in accordance with all applicable state, Diocese of Little Rock Office of Catholic Schools, and St. Joseph School guidelines.
Performance Responsibilities:
Follows and maintains knowledge of all St. Joseph School policies and procedures.
Supervises the administration of medications following state, Diocese of Little Rock Office of Catholic Schools, and St. Joseph School guidelines.
Maintains records related to student care.
Assists students with any health-related needs, including self-care such as hygiene, catheterization, blood glucose monitoring, nutrition, etc.
Oversees the training and supervision of aides and staff members who assist with student health-related needs.
Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff, and parents/guardians; resolves conflict in a professional manner.
Oversees the coordination of medical information among the parent, the school, and the medical provider.
Supervises a variety of student activities, including playground, cafeteria, bus loading and unloading, field trips, hallways, and other areas where students gather.
Maintains secure confidential records, information, and inquiries.
Evaluates student injuries, determines course of action, performs first aid
Completes and maintains communication log with staff and parents, if applicable.
Participates in the development and implementation of health care plans.
Oversees the maintenance of the immunization program.
Coordinates and performs all screenings required by the state, Diocese of Little Rock Office of Catholic Schools, and St. Joseph School.
