St. Joseph High School's quiz bowl team participated in the Beebe High School Badger Invitational Tournament on February 17. Five other schools were present which included Cabot, Greenbrier, Little Rock West, Maumelle Charter and Russellville.
Our Bulldogs defeated Little Rock West and Maumelle Charter but fell to Russellville, Cabot and to Greenbrier in a "sudden death" playoff.
Russellville came out on top with St. Joseph receiving a 4th Place trophy. "We competed well with larger schools," Coach Shade Gilbert said. "It was a good warm-up for the Regionals which are coming up at Conway Christian on March 2nd."
