Our Bulldog baseball team kept their streak going this afternoon. They played Amorel in the Quarter Finals of the 1A State Tournament at Greers Ferry Westside field and defeated the Tigers 8-2. Senior Keaton Storie got the win. He went the distance giving up one earned-run, three hits, and striking out eight while walking four. Freshman Owen Coney had a big hit with a triple and scores in the photo taken by Becky Jackson.
The boys go for another win tomorrow at 12 noon in the tournament's semi-finals. They'll be up against another set of Tigers, this time from Taylor High School, that are former 1A State Champions. It should be an exciting match-up.
