St. Joseph's Junior High Quiz Bowl Team won 2nd Place in one of two divisions that competed in the Quiz Bowl Finals held at Harrison's North Arkansas Community College on February 15. Seventeen teams participated. St. Joseph was 2-1 and was seeded fourth.
In the afternoon elimination rounds, the Bulldogs had wins over Murfreesboro and Hector before losing to Conway Christian. Seventh graders Tyson Mallett and Drew Nabholz made the All-Tournament Team. "Our students did very well," Coach Shade Gilbert said. "As young as this team is, things are looking very good for the future."
