These children preparing for 1st Communion received prayer cards from high schoolers.

Second graders attending St. Joseph Elementary will be receiving their First Communion in a couple of months. As they're preparing to receive what Pope Francis calls "The Sacrament of Love" students in our high school religion classes created prayer cards for these young children.
The cards were distributed on March 15, and the second grade classes clearly enjoyed reading them. The project was led by high school teachers Phyllis Eubanks and Shade Gilbert. There will be three First Communion Masses in May. The first, in English, will be May 7 at 6:30 p.m. There's another in English on May 8th at 2:00 p.m. The last will be in Spanish at 6:30 pm that same evening.
