Anatomy students dissected hearts, studied heart diseases, and drew a life-sized body chart.

    St. Joseph High School students in teacher Angie Collins' anatomy class recently completed a unit on the cardiovascular system. They dissected a deer heart, studied homeostatic disorders, and researched cardiovascular diseases.

  The students collaborated on drawing life-sized body charts accurately detailing placement of the heart, the  labeling of its features, and providing cross-sections of arteries, capillaries, and veins.The paths deoxygenated and oxygenated blood takes in the body were also explained.
