St. Joseph School held a jeans day Thursday, October 4, to raise money in support of those in Conway, South Carolina affected by Hurricane Florence. Pictures of several of our students wearing their blue jeans were forwarded to a media outlet in that city along with information about this service project. Conway, SC is in Horry County and one of its major publications is the Horry County News. Our photos and comments from local citizens have been placed on its Facebook Page at My Horry News. "What a great group of kids," "So kind to do this," and "Thank you, sweet things! St. James Catholics" were just a few of their comments. If you'd like to see more, check out their page. A total of $541.33 was raised by our students in this "Conway Helping Conway" effort which also includes Conway Christian School, the Conway Regional Health System, and Baptist Health Medical Center, Conway.
