CONGRATULATIONS to the Middle School Spelling Bee Winners - Caitlin Mallett, Grayson Strack, and Everlyann Windle!
Twelve students from the Middle School participated in our Middle School Spelling Bee on Thursday, March 19. The top two winners from each homeroom competed against each other. Students went head to head for six rounds, ending with a third place finish from 5th grader Everlyann Windle, a 2nd place finish from 6th grader Caitlin Mallett, and a first place finish from 4th grader Grayson Strack. He won by spelling the word accurate correctly. #FaithLearningLiving

Dr. Tyson led the Bulldog Band in concert on Wednesday evening, April 22. "Twenty-four students from the Middle School and High School played a total of ten pieces, including two high school solos by Khrystian Hoyt, saxophone, and Josefa Benavides, timpani. The performers included 5th graders who have been playing for less than one year up to Seniors who have been playing for nine years. St. Joseph 8th graders Bria Butler and Tyson Mallett were recognized on Thursday, April 16, by the Conway Noon Rotary Club as Outstanding 8th Graders! This award recognizes two 8th grade students (one male and one female) from each of the Faulkner County schools, who demonstrates qualities of Rotary’s motto of “Service above Self’ such as: active participation in either civic or community activities, good scholastic record, and/or involvement in extracurricular school activities. Bria and Tyson were presented with a certificate recognizing their outstanding achievement. Congratulations Bria and Tyson!

St. Joseph Sophomore Noelle Pizzolatto was selected to participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), April 16-19 at the Vines Center in Little Rock. RYLA is an intensive leadership experience organized by the local Rotary Club where students develop skills as a leader while having fun and making connections. These skills include communication building, problem-solving, dynamic leadership within school and community, unlocking each students potential to turn motivation into action while learning from community leaders, inspirational speakers, and peer mentors. CONGRATULATIONS to St. Joseph Senior Jude Moix who is the winner of the Dr. Waddy W. Moore History Essay Contest! This essay contest is sponsored by the Faulkner County Historical Society in memory of Dr. Moore, who was a UCA history professor, a published author, and had served as the president of both the Faulkner County Historical Society and the Arkansas Historical Society. St. Joseph Kindergarten visited the Soul Food Cafe Mission today to deliver 64 birthday boxes they created as a part of their Lenten service project. While there, they met Rick and Tracey Harvey who run the mission. Mrs. Harvey explained to the students what all the mission does for those in need in our community. The students were very excited about their donation and that it was going to make someone's birthday even more special! #FaithLearningLiving
