St. Joseph kindergarten and first grade students were excited to see "Junie B. The Musical" yesterday at The Center of Arts in Russellville! "The play combined several of the very popular Junie B. books, including Junie B. Jones First Grader (at last!), Junie B. Jones Boss of Lunch, and Junie B. Jones One Man Band. The students loved watching the play and meeting many of the cast members afterwards," commented Mrs. Hefley, Kindergarten Teacher. So much fun! #FaithLearningLiving

This week, Spanish I and II students had an amazing time on their field trip to Faby's in downtown Conway! "This trip is always one of the highlights of being in Spanish class. It gives students the opportunity to not only practice what they’ve learned in the classroom, but also experience and be immersed in Hispanic culture.
For our Spanish II students, this was their second visit, and it showed. They were much more confident ordering their meals in Spanish! Meanwhile, some of our Spanish I students were a bit nervous, but they did a great job stepping outside of their comfort zones.
A huge thank you to Faby’s for always providing a welcoming space where our students can grow, learn, and experience language in a real-world setting," commented Mrs. Martinez.

Recently at St. Joseph Elementary, Mr. Horpedahl, UCA Economics instructor and dad of 6th grader Soren, stopped by to talk to the 3rd grade to help wrap up their economics unit. "He did an activity where each student got a bag of treats. They gave each piece of candy a value of 1 to 10. Then, they traded to find their new total. They did this twice and then discussed how they got their value to go up," explained Mrs. Bacon, 3rd Grade Teacher.
